Recipe: Meme’s Mushrooms a la Plancha

Summary: Quick but Delicious!

Ingredients

  • Crimini Mushrooms
  • Jamón Serrano (or Prosciutto)
  • Manchego Cheese (optional)
  • La Plancha (Cast Iron Griddle)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the mushrooms. Leave the stems on.
  2. Slice the Jamón Serrano & Manchego cheese into bite sized squares.
  3. Place Jamón and Manchego slices on stem side of mushroom and secure with a toothpick.
  4. Place with top side down onto “La Plancha” and cook over high heat. No oil is necessary.
  5. Allow the mushrooms to sweat and serve when mushrooms have striped lines on bottom and are cooked through.
