Dates with Gorgonzola & Marcona Almonds

I love this quick and easy tapa to bring to a party or serve before dinner. It is crunchy, salty, chewy and creamy…all in one delicious bite!

Dates with Gorgonzola & Marcona Almonds

Prep time:  10 mins

Total time:  10 mins

Serves: 6-12

Ingredients
  • 12 Medjool Dates
  • Gorgonzola or Spanish Cabrales Cheese
  • 1 cup Salted & Toasted Marcona Almonds
  • Honey or Balsamic glaze (optional)
  • Prosciutto (optional)
Instructions
  1. Cut the dates lengthwise so they fold open and remove the pits
  2. Stuff with the blue cheese
  3. Place one or two Marcona Almond on top of the blue cheese
  4. Serve on a small platter or shallow bowl on a bed of Marcona Almonds
  5. Drizzle with honey if desired
  6. Optional: Wrap with Prosciutto, insert toothpick and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
