August 21, 2014 by Liz

Recipe: Fresh Berries in Cava

Liz likes to serve this refreshing, light dessert when berries are in season.:

Ingredients

  • Any mixture of fresh berries. About a handful (or champagne glass) per person.
  • Your favorite cava or champagne or sparkling wine. A Bokisch family favorite is Jaume Serra Cristalino cava.
  • Sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and drip dry the berries. Mix the berries with a sprinkling of sugar. Keep berries and cava refrigerated until time to serve.
  2. When you are ready to serve dessert, put about a handful of berries in each dishes. Liz likes to use a wide bowl type martini glass.
  3. Pour cava over the berries and serve immediately.
